Hello! My name is Andrea Hine, I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor here at Central Valley Family Therapy. I enjoy working with individuals of all backgrounds and am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ in therapy. For that reason, I keep a variety of approaches, tools, and modalities on hand to implement into session to find what works best for you. I view therapy between the patient and therapist as a collaborative effort where we can work together towards your individual goals for your therapy journey. My hope as your therapist is to create a comfortable safe space for you to come as you are, where we can embark on this path together.

My Approach & Values

Andrea Hine is a distinguished Associate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, whose commitment to mental health advocacy and therapeutic assistance is rooted in a profound passion for facilitating individuals’ journeys towards healing and self-discovery. Holding an undergraduate degree in Human Services, with a focus on children and families from Southern New Hampshire University, Ms. Hine furthered her academic pursuits by obtaining a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. Her professional formation was significantly enhanced through a comprehensive internship where she provided therapeutic services to a diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, children, and members of the LGBTQ community, both on an individual and group basis.

Originally from a quaint beach town in Florida, Ms. Hine’s early experiences and the milieu in which she was raised played a pivotal role in shaping her career aspirations. Despite being immersed in an environment where mental health discussions were scarce and often stigmatized, her personal challenges with anxiety and depression during adolescence ignited a fervent desire to contribute to dismantling the prevailing misconceptions surrounding mental health and to offer support to those encountering similar struggles.

Ms. Hine’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to the unique needs of her clients, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She espouses the belief that individuals are the foremost authorities on their lives and endeavors to empower her clients by facilitating a process of healing and personal growth that enables them to embrace their most authentic selves. Her work extends to adults, older adolescents, couples, and families, underscoring her commitment to delivering compassionate and comprehensive mental health care.
